North Carolina is the State of the Year

North Carolina has been named Business Facilities’ 2022 State of the Year, making this the state’s second award in the last few years.

Why? The year 2022 was a frontrunner in capital investment and job creation stemming from a strong regional economic development strategy and commitment to business expansion. The North Carolina Department of Commerce reported the following numbers for 2022: 28,690 new jobs announced and $19.3 billion in investment.
