RED Attends BIO International Convention in San Diego

Every June, representatives from North Carolina attend the BIO International Convention to represent the local life science industry. This year, Executive Director Kyle Touchstone and a delegation of partners from Wake County Economic Development, the Town of Holly Springs, NC State University, the NC Biotechnology Center, and local companies such as CBRE, JLL, Savills, and Brasfield & Gorrie attended the convention.

The primary objective of the trip was to showcase Raleigh, Wake County, and the Triangle region as a leading hub for biotechnology and life sciences. Convention attendees visited the North Carolina pavilion, eager to learn about doing business in NC, the abundance of talent, the availability of research funding, and the concentration of life science companies (600+!) in the area.

We enjoyed spending the week with our partners and discussing this fast-growing industry sector!
