Raleigh’s Unmatched Talent Pool
Raleigh remains a popular draw for talent as the Triangle region is a well-known hub for high-paying jobs, educational opportunities, and sound quality of life. As detailed in a recent report from CBRE (Scoring Tech Talent), the Raleigh-Durham MSA placed #19th on the list for growth in tech talent employment and job postings.
Community leaders shared thoughts on important factors contributing to the region’s popularity with tech workers and company executives.
“One of the key components of how users evaluate a market is the quality and availability of talent in the local workforce,” explains Jason High, executive vice president with CBRE|Raleigh’s Occupier Services Group
“Wake Tech Community College, and Durham Tech Community College have each focused on articulation agreements with universities,” said Ashley Cagle, assistant executive director at Wake County Economic Development.
“More and more, they ask about our connections with other educational institutions,” says Tom White, director of N.C. State University’s Economic Development Partnership.
