Quartz, an online publication for people in business, ranked Raleigh as one of the U.S. cities with the fastest job growth. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), 30 metros experienced employment growth, with a population of one million or more. Peers metros, Jacksonville (Florida), and Las Vegas also topped the list.

Why did Raleigh make the list?

• Expanding companies: frequent economic development announcements drive more jobs and investment, creating a business ecosystem dependent on the workforce.

• Thriving industry: Raleigh dominates multiple industry sectors while fueling the growth of newer, emerging industries (esports, gaming, automotive.)

• Growing hospitality sector: according to the BLS report, Raleigh's leisure and hospitality sector grew the fastest year-over-year as of November 2023.

• Talent megaphone: there are a lot of job search platforms out there, but nothing like Work in the Triangle, a customized platform for learning about Raleigh and the Triangle region and finding #hotjobs.
