The Red Blog: Raleigh is a Top Place to Live in the US. Here’s Why.
Money released the “Best Places to Live 2022” rankings, and Raleigh, NC, took the fourth spot on the list. Money wrote:
“Raleigh is a bit of a contradiction. It's a mid-sized southern city with agrarian roots that also contains a bustling technology hub. As a result, the city — a part of North Carolina’s prestigious Research Triangle — defies expectations. That’s precisely what landed it on our list of Best Places to Live (yet again).”
We can’t help but think about the word “contradiction.” Is Raleigh a contradiction? Or a brilliant combination of all the things that matter in life?
This city has a lot to offer as the capital of North Carolina. Money’s ranking does an excellent job going through our best amenities but what stands out is the nod to our dynamic quality of life.
You can commute to the downtown office, work from a local coffee shop, or meet at a co-working space. You can wait in line for one of our James Beard restaurants or roll up to a local food hall to spread out and enjoy a drink. You can even have a home with a backyard or a studio apartment in downtown Raleigh, with Dorothea Dix Park as your backyard, and not miss a thing.
City living doesn’t have to be one way. Our city offers many ways to live a happy and fulfilled life.
In Raleigh, it all adds up.
