2024’s Best U.S. Metros for Women in Tech

According to CoWorkingCafe, women make up almost 48% of today’s total global workforce; less than one-third of the tech workers in 2023 were female. However, in some regions of the country, female talent has more success in leading a career in technology. In 2024, Raleigh-Cary ranked as the second best metro (wedged between two CA cities) for “Women in Tech.” Here’s a snapshot of the findings (based on comparisons between 200 metros.)

• 29.1% female tech workers (out of entire tech workforce)

• 61.9 tech jobs per 1,000 jobs

• Earnings ~$86k
